Is there really some place called the "Underverse"?

I have never heard of an "underverse" before so after a short google search I see that the only references to it is the movie "Chronicles of Riddick" with Vin Disel. I guess it is not something real, just the creation of a movie script writer. I can assure you there is a universe though.

I don't think the underverse was meant to be anything like real or scientific. Its just a made up name for the place the guy went like a second universe or hell.

Isn't the underverse a place where you go when you're just about to die? Its like a parallel universe. That's what I got from the Chronicles of Riddick anyway.
