Don't worry, you are posting in the right place. Someone will come a long to give you the tips you need. Best wishes in your future career.
By the way, to get rid of the 'I'm new' you need to click on your 'profile' and then fill in ALL the questions and the 'I'm New' will go away!
sha.k.ah, I would suggest you to look for the bets photographer available and one who will not charge an arm and a leg.
Also, if it's possible get a make-up artist to prepare you for the photos session, they're great because they know exactly where to put the make on for the lights in the photo session, etc.
Get plenty outfits!!! and try to practise smiling at a mirror or look for great poses on the internet!

Answer to:
Tip 1: He doesn't charge me anything, TFP. He might not be the best but since it's my first photo shoot ever...
Tip 2: Unfortunately, I can't afford a makeup artist. However, I was thinking about taking some makeup lessons. That could help a little, no?
Tip 3: I'll sure get as much outfits as I can!
Tip 4 &5: I'll try that. It will probably make me feel more confident.
Thank you very much for the precious tips. I really appreciate them. :)
Thanks. I'll go fill that out.
The 'I'm New' is still showing up possibly because you did not choose which country you are from in your profile. Also, there is a feature to upload a pic of you. You may want to place it here for good exposure
