Bandit Terrorises Two Families In Diego Martin
The details of these crimes are so chilling, mostly because we're speaking about elderly people. Why didn't the bandit just rob them and leave? Why beat them in this way? The answer folks: Because they CAN and I'm pretty sure they get a kick out of it! Yes people, these are the BEASTS that walk our streets.
QUOTE TWO Diego Martin families were terrorised by a bandit on Monday afternoon during which time he rained blows on two people, one of them an elderly retiree.
Both were injured badly enough to require an overnight stay at hospital.
Ann Hosein, 46, now has stitches beneath her left eye.
Her next-door neighbour, who did not want to be identified, received a fracture to his skull.
The incident occurred just after 1.30 p.m. at La Estancia Drive, Diego Martin.
Hosein told the Express yesterday afternoon that moments before the robbery she had opened her door to let in her housekeeper.
She closed the door and thinking she had locked it, began talking to the housekeeper.
"Five minutes after I let her in, a man walked in," said Hosein. "He told me, "Is no big scene, is a robbery" and he asked us to go in a bedroom and lie down," said the battered woman.
She ran into a bedroom and locked the door behind her.
The bandit broke down the door and hit her several blows across her face with his hands.
Hosein said she stumbled back as the bandit left her presumably to ransack the house.
Again she got up and ran into a bathroom.
She peeped out a window and began screaming to her neighbour for assistance.
The neighbour, an elderly retiree, walked over but as soon as he opened the door the bandit struck him with a hammer to his head.
He went down immediately.
The bandit decided to leave but before doing so he grabbed the maid's handbag containing a cellular phone and a small amount of cash...
