I think that you may have missed the point of the study you quoted. Not only is a moderate amount of cholesterol healthy, too *little* can be unhealthy. For many substances in the environment, there is an optimal band of intake. More is bad and so is less. And in many cases, an excess can result in toxicity.
With that in mind, what does "A little poison" mean? Iron is a poison; there is such a thing as iron poisoning. Should one eliminate iron from one's diet altogether because otherwise we would be taking "A little poison"? Niacin is a poison. Same question. Ditto sodium. And potassium. And any number of other substances.
