Greece sends bailout compromise proposal to its creditors
Greek officials say the country has sent its proposals for a last-minute compromise that would break a deadlock with its European creditors over its frozen bailout program, the Associated Press reports. No details were provided Thursday, although Athens has already said it will request an extension of the loan program that has kept it from bankruptcy since 2010. EU official: Greece submits list of reform measures
Debt-strapped Greece has submitted a list of proposed reforms to its creditors to get final approval for an extension to its rescue loans, a European Union official said Tuesday. EU Commission chief Margaritis Schinas tweeted that the country's list of reform measures had been received on time. The reforms will now be reviewed by 19 eurozone finance ministers. German parliament approves four-month extension to Greek bailout
The German parliament has voted in favor of extending Greece's financial bailout for four months. The extension was passed 542-32, the Associated Press reported. The approval comes a week after Greece and its European creditors hammered out a deal. Ref. USAToday
