What do you think about people who binge? Is it a psychological problem or a medical problem?

Seems like there is a new term out for those who are even bigger than big? EXTREME OBESITY IS SWELLING IN U.S. Americans are not just getting fatter, they are ballooning to extremely obese proportions at an alarming rate.https://deseretnews.com/dn/view/1%2C1249%2C515038549%2C00.html |
It depends on the situation. I've had to take a lot of psychotropic medications in the past five years, and I can tell you that some such as Zyprexa cause you to binge-eat against your better judgment and will. Once an idea for a certain food pops in to your head, there is no eliminating the thought. You can try to sleep, but you won't be able to get to sleep. Not until you satisfy this craving will you be able to do anything else. Its impossible to get your mind off the focus of your craving.
Since I stopped taking Zyprexa (and one other antidepressant who's name I can't recall), my weight's dropped from 195 pounds to 167 pounds in about six months. There are a variety of drugs that are associated with weight gain, They are generally only used when weight gain would be considered a lesser problem than the condition the drug is being administered to treat.
