I don't know a lot about Australia culture. A close friend who went there complains often that "There's no culture".
Probably because is a young nation, it still has to develop some sort of cultural unity and strong traditions.
Anyway quality of life is pretty high, so culture is coming, no matter what!

It's not a lack of culture per se. Australia has a diverse multicultural community enriched by many generations of migrants from all over the world. All the major cities would have little pockets of communities with disparate ancestries. While it does pose some communication problems at times especially among older migrants, the pleasant upside is the availability of international cuisine almost anywhere.
