I love the movie Mr. Holland's Opus! Great choice Howe! I haven't met many others who like it. I also like Father of the Bride, Ella Enchanted, The Princess Bride, Ferris Bueler's Day Off, Ever After, and most recently National Treasure and Finding Neverland. I actually am also limited in the number of movies that I see, but it sure is nice to get out or snuggle in at home every now and then for a good movie! smile.gif

I loved "In the name of the father" with Daniel Day Lewis, "The devils advocate" with Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves, the Star Wars series, Matrix and "The lord of the rings" trilogy. I also like actors like Robert de Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Denzel Washington, Eddie Murpphy, Liam Neeson and so on...

I would say that Office Space dominates the genre of comedy for me, but The Big Lebowski is a close second. My favorite serious dramatic movie would have to be American Beauty or the recent Garden State. My favorite war movie is a toss up between Saving Private Ryan and Enemy At The Gates. As for scary moives, The Ring is probably my favorite in that genre.

Yes I did hear that about that Jesus of Nazareth actor and about the 10 commandments they used to show it now they only show The LDS Church's lamb of god video every easter and cartoons. I loved all the movies I saw on big screen. When I was little we used to go to this $1.00 theatre in Otahuhu every Saturday morning and they only showed Bruce Lee movies..I loved them all.

If I had to choose only one favourite movie, I guess even the Star Wars saga would not be closer to my heart as Lilo & Stitch is smile.gif. I first saw it on the big screen (and what's really surprising, the Polish dubbing is fantastic!) and I fell in love with it right away. It's such a warm and friendly story about a lonely girl and her little furry 'angel' friend - my heart melts just thinking about it. And with great music and Elvis Presley hits, it's just a movie I can watch over and over again. Beautiful.

I also love The Lion King for more or less the same reasons - and the music. I love the Lion King music, and I love Hans Zimmer's scores.

My other favourite movies are Star Wars, of course, Aliens, The Gladiator (the music!), Apollo 13 (the suspense), Twister (the characters), and The Lord of the Rings - I can't remember if I ever saw a more perfect motion picture.

The funniest film that I have ever watched at the cinema, was 'Johnny English'

spoof spy movie. It was so funny, I couldn't stop laughing, and at one point nearly fell off my chair doubled up laugh.gif

I suppose with it being a British film, you would need to have some awareness of British humor, but none the less an excellent film.

I have watched it a few times since, and it never fails to cheer me up, it's full of 'the feel good factor', and would definitely go and watch a sequel to it should there ever be one made!
