I understand, but again it is my opinion as to how I enjoyed the movie. Watching a movie like Lord of the Rings takes a certain kind of imagination (as with all movies in general), one where you are being asked indirectly to accept what is being presented as entertainment, again, in my opinion I could not accept all of it. Some scenes were good, but I thought all the fuss everyone was making made my anticipation to see it greater than what I felt I was given. That is how I feel about it - I judge based on my experience - no one can change that
JB,
Erm...I was just sharing my opinion and not trying to change yours - sorry if it came across that way!
Regardless of exactly how good the films were, I am glad that they have spawned a whole lot more children (and adults) reading a book that is undoubtedly uplifting and filled with good values and truth.
Can't wait for The Hobbit!
Dubhdara.
Sadly no I didnt mark my calander for the release of LotR RotK. My sister is way too much obsessed with it. But I did go see it the first night. It was one of the best movies I have ever seen. In fact I'll go as far as to say it was THE best movie Ive ever seen. (I havent seen a whole lot of movies though... >_><_<).
