I saw the Matrix reloaded tonight. I thought it was pretty well done. The storyline progressed in a manner that made me glad I knew half of what they were talking about because of my computer background. LOL
Everyone portrayed their parts well, there was not much drama, but of course a lot of action. I was glad that there was actually not a lot of blood and gore, just 'kung fu like' scenes.
The ending was interesting. Led right into the third movie.
I finally got to watch the Matrix Reloaded all the way thru today and I thought it was ok. I really liked the action scenes, but darn my eyes for catching the movie boo-boos during some of the scenes. :-/ Anyway, I am waiting to see the third one, I am hoping it's not going to be disappointing.
Everytime I read the transcript of the movies I cannot believe how strong religious connection it has, at least for me. Morpheus seems to represent a great prophet, someone who is waiting for 'The One' (The savior, Neo). Just like in the Bible John the Baptist just knew Jesus was the Messiah, in the same way, Morpheus knew Neo was the one. The Frenchman represents Satan and his evil power.
Just like Jesus Christ had a traitor( Judas) , in the Matrix the traitor is Cypher who decides to help Mr. Smith in exchanged of being plugged into the Matrix again.
Neo had to fight the agents and he dies (Jesus died when Judas turns him in and resurrected after 3 days). Neo dies and 'resurrects' after a few minutes. He must accomplish his work as the savior and save Zion. He does it in the end, sacrificing his own life for the sake of others.
Something I noticed while watching Revolutions the other day. When Neo finishes off Mr. Smith, and seemingly 'dies', the Machine City entity says "It is Done". This is very similar to what was said when Jesus died on the cross. Just another biblical reference.
