If you're looking to make big bucks in modeling, you may want to think about doing it part time, or possibly as a hobby. If you are just now starting, it woud be smart to continue your studies in school, and think about attending college. You could always find out as you go if you are going to be able to get any work from your new found hobby. The first thing you want to do is locate SAG Franschised modeling agencies in your community. I hope this is not breaking any rules on this board, but that site has the best agency list I've seen online. It will tell you where the agencies are by state, whether they are SAG, and what talent they accept, as well as contact information. Then, send a few snapshots of yourself, not professional photos, one headshot, one body shot, upclose as well as full-lenth, and the agency will let you know if they are interested in your look. Repeat this with many, many agencies until you get an idea of whether your look is something the agencies are looking for. Do not spend money on classes or pictures...this will not help you. The average model makes $75 to $400 hour, however.....remember that it is not all gross income. You will have expenses, such as traveling, agency commissions, comp cards, etc....and the work is not regular unless you are exceptional.

First of all, whatever you do, make sure that your parents are involved in every aspect.
A sure sign of a scam~
a modeling agency promising you that if you sign with them, they can get you all kinds of work, keep you busy around the clock, have you traveling all over the world, working for big-name clients, etc....
but the catch is they want you to spend hundreds of dollars on comp cards furnished by them (charging you for the shoot, photographer, & stylist), workshops, etc.
These type of agencies aren't wanting to make money FOR you, their only interest is to make money OFF of you.
If you type "modeling scams" in your search engine, you'll see exactly what I mean.
But, then again, there are definitely some legit agencies out there too, that's why I urge you to have your parents involved...they can help you to decipher between the good and the bad.
Whatever direction you decide to go, I wish you all the best!
