Why is it that when children reach a certain age they talk so much? At what age does it stop?

I think younger people talk a lot because they are juggling a billion things in thier head and are trying to figure out what the heck is going on. Younger people are still putting the foundation down for thier brains and thought process. They need to know so much information in order to feel complete in this stage that there is no real end to it sometimes.

It depends on the brain, enviroment and child. It could go on for years and years, or last a short while. My sister was always like this as a child and still is. I suppose many children give up on talking and just figure it out for themselves. If the questions are obvious and you know the child knows the answer I suggest ignoring them to see if they figure it out themselves. They may be trying to get attention in this way. If the questions are valid answer them the best you can until your patience is at an end and simply explain to them you are spent.
