Well, yeah, I saw it today and thought I would give you a review. Of course this is just my opinion so you might see it differently.
1. Originality 2
3. Music
5. Costumes 2
7. Storyline
I guess I am too 'old' now and I am too analytical of the impossible, but sometimes certain things make you go, 'yeah right'. Anyhow, the more I watch the Terminator movies the more I think... they can never replace Terminator 1, and Terminator 2 was better than 3 in my estimation. I believe the terminators of then seemed more into it than these 'models' Schwarzenegger was notably older in the movie, but he handled it ok. Its funny that they have such a modern machine still speaking like a Austrian
Terminator 3 Review (Hover)
I thought Terminator 3 was a fitting conclusion to the Terminator movies. Arnold did look a lot older than he did in the first 2 (because he was older!) but other than that, I thought the storyline was decent. I was very skeptical going to the movie theatre because I kept thinking "How could they possibly continue from where T2 left off?" But I was pleased with the continuation, and the Terminator trilogy is definitely worth collecting.
The Terminator series have been a favourite of mine for years, with the second of three definitely being the best. Because of the way 2 ended, I did wonder how they'd resurrect the series for a third movie, and while I liked the movie, I feel that it lacked considerably due to losing James Cameron as director and writer. New director Johnathan Mostow did an admirable job, but naturally there were several inconsistencies due to the franchise changing hands.
I do feel that the second was a better ending to the series, especially as now Arnold is Governor of California he's probably quit acting. They're talking about making a fourth, but without Arnold, and I don't think that would be possible. It just wouldn't be the same.

I agree with you there (about the film missing that extra 'touch'), but I do feel that if there is a part four that it will mostly be about the machines and there will therefore be no need for Arnold really. |
