Jehovah and the World of the Old Testament
What is your review for "Jehovah and the World of the Old Testament" by Richard Neitzel Holzapfel and Dana M. Pike and David Rolph Seely?
Jehovah And The World Of The Old Testament (Hover)
I really like "Jehovah and the World of the Old Testament", it has both secular (non-biblical) and scholarly (college-educated scripture knowledge) information, it admits, in the introduction, that it is by no means, concise, but there is, in the back of the book, a list of source-books to read more about the world around the Bible.

Comments: Is this just a repeat of what the Old Testament institute manual have to offer with commentary mixed in or does it offer new insight into the Old Testament?
No, it's not like the Old Testament institute manual, this book is more about the world around the Old Testament, not a commentary of it. This book not only talks about things, like money, idols that were worshiped during that time, but has a vast array of photos accompanying what's said.

Comments: My review for Jehovah And The World Of The Old Testament. This book does have some very intriguing photos and images to look at but the text itself is equally interesting.
