What is your opinion on the quality of the works of R.A. Salvatore, particularly the Dark Elf Trilogy and the DemonWars saga?

How many of you have fallen in love with the works of R.A. Salvatore? I discovered his works in the mid nineties and was instantly hooked. His imagery of the Underdark drew me in and ensorceled me. I fell in love with the drow and their dark society of intrigue and death.
