In Real Estate terminology how do you define what "Prepayment penalty" mean exactly?

Even though you may think is crazy there is a penalty if you pay off your loan before it's due, that's what is called prepayment penalty.

Its not crazy from a money making standpoint. The longer you have a loan the more interest you pay and therefore more money for the bank to make. If you pay it off too quickly then you're essentially taking away money they could be making off your head!
