I always admire those who use their fame and fortune to assist others. JK Rowling is requesting for all booksellers, to publicize the case of the missing British girl, Madeleine McCann, when her seventh book of the Harry Potter series, is released. Here is the link for this story:

Cloud looms over 'Deathly Hallows'
Now that copies of the final Harry Potter book have leaked out, a battle is afoot between those who want to preserve its secrets for a few more days and those who'd like to spill all the beans now.
On one side: Author J.K. Rowling is issuing anguished appeals, many fans seem to be listening, and the mainstream media are honoring the omerta not to report what happens in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows until its official release Friday at midnight.

They said on the list of BILLIONARES that she is amongst one of them and with this new release of Harry potter she will make more and then consider that she will get apart of the new theme park called Harry Potters world with a Hogwarts and Hogs mead she will make far more money.
With all this in mind I believe that she will make some more books with he character of Harry potter, she is probably thinking right now as to his career and what his life is like. and marriage and kids, so that I think is not the end of Harry Potter.
The craziness over Harry Potter continues, what was this French teen thinking? Doesn't he know about copyright issues?

PARIS - French police briefly detained a 16-year-old who posted an unauthorized translation of the latest Harry Potter book online, a prosecutor said Wednesday. ADVERTISEMENT The high school student from the southern city of Aix-en-Provence was picked up Monday based on a complaint from police in Paris, said Aix Prosecutor Olivier Rothe. The boy was released Tuesday after questioning. Rothe said judicial police in Paris were conducting an investigation and that the boy could face charges for violating intellectual property rights. The boy had apparently compiled the entire translation of J.K. Rowling's 759-page "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" himself, but was not thought to have sought any commercial profit from the unauthorized work, Rothe said. It was available online within days of the July 21 release of the English original. Police later shut down the site where the boy posted the translation. The publishing house Gallimard, which has published the Potter series in French and is to release the official translation of "Deathly Hallows" on Oct. 26, would not comment on the case before consulting with company lawyers... |
That is pretty ingenious to to translate a whole book into French yourself, but given the time factor he must have used some sort of translation software because you will have to consider:
1. The time it took to digitize each page
2. OCR recognition of the text
3. Translate it
4. Reproduce it
He must have had help. What is Harry Potter anyway, the Bible?
Potter teen will not face charges
A French teenager who published his own translation of the latest Harry Potter novel will not be prosecuted.
