Comments: Point taken but not everyone that plays is going to be thinking like you. If a player has a character he's sentimental about then he will fudge to keep the character in the game.
If a character is always making high rolls and seeming to never have fault then we will begin to see a pattern and the GM can take steps then if they feel a player is not being honest. That will always be between that character and the GM. Honesty is always the best policy.
I think everyone has been there, off by one point, rolled a natural 1 at the worst possible time, on and on.
I won't fudge my rolls because if you do the game looses meaning. Not that there is some deep meaning in Dungeons & Dragons but it follows rules. If you start messing with your rolls then the numbers are meaningless. You may as well be playing the "lets pretend" game.
You know that game you played when you were about 5 and everything you said started with lets pretend.
If you don't follow the rules and take the good rolls with the bad then your not playing the game. You can pretend your playing it but your really not.
What if we roll our own dice? I was sure that we could, but could someone please tell if we can't. I am terribly sorry if we can't.
Pundit I never thought about it like that but your so right plus we can see JB's rolls that's like totally fair.
Gunner I don't get like what you're saying you're talking about D&D here right? You just use the roll options on this forum or you can roll your home dice same deal like who's going to know the difference anyways?
Oh, it seemed that the rolls on the forum were recorded, or maybe I just didn't understand completely. Just wanted to make sure.
That's what I'm saying dude. In member wars its NOT recorded so anyone could like make a roll and no one would know its only in JB's games the rolls are recorded for him and the players so everyone knows what they have.
