I have been keeping pretty up to date on this trial and it is really sad. The character witnesses (for the prosecution) are FAR more credible than the story of the actual accuser. If I am a juror, I am not sure there is any way that I can convict Jackson. The accuser's brother admits to lying to one jury, but expects this one to believe him? The family has also lived fairly well off of litigation and it seems that this may be just another attempt at some money (they took JC Penny for a few dollars in a out of court settlement). The family and the accusers credibility in this case is really poor. Also, the stories between the brothers don't match up right. It seems obvious that something did happen (he has copies of Barely Legal magazine in the home - not exactly sure why ANYONE needs that), but between the lies, Jackson will most likely get out of this one.
Offtopic but, Just remember: There was no one else on the planet (statistically, you would have to go to another planet WITH humans) that could have had the same blood match as OJ and he is playing golf in Florida. |
ACCUSER TESTIFIES THAT JACKSON MOLESTED HIM
Michael Jackson's teenage accuser said Thursday that the pop star manually stimulated him on two separate occasions -- and tried to get the then-13 year old to do the same to him during overnight sleepovers at Jackson's Neverland Ranch two years ago.

I personally don't believe that Michael Jackson is guilty of sexual assault, but I do think he is a very disturbed man. He needs intense psychological help to discover why he can only relate to children. I do think that having children spend the night in his bed was inappropriate, but I also think that the parents have a lot of explaining to do. Especially given the charges brought against Jackson in the past, for any parent to allow their child unsupervised visits is just as wrong as anything Jackson may have done. As I've said I don't think he's guilty of abuse, but if you are a parent would you take that chance with your son or daughter? If in fact he did what he's accused of then the parents of the child or children involved need to be on trial too. Of course that is just my opinion. I speak from experience as a child that was abused in that way. Had my parents known what the person was capable of he would not have made it to any trial, my dad would have seen to that. Maybe it is the money. I don't know but my biggest sympathy goes out to the children, I do hope they are getting some kind of counseling. Sorry this post is so long but this is very close subject for me.
I agree that the parents are partly to blame for this. Jackson has alredy been accused of doing this before and I think the parents should have been cautious about their children staying with him. I for one wouldn't even think about letting my child stay with a man who has already been accused of child molestation. Celebrity or not. I do agree that Jackson has issues but it seems so do the parents of the victim. The parents of Gavin Arvizo knew or had at least heard rumours about what Jackson was capable of but still let their children go unattended to his home and let them sleep there.

JACKSON PROSECUTION WITNESS JAILED IN ROBBERY SPREE

pop star is sitting in a Las Vegas jail, facing a slew of felony charges
stemming from four armed robberies.

I think that Jackson will never be convicted. I still don't think he is actually a child molester, but he is very disturbed. This trial is turning into a circus. If it was anyone except Jackson would be sitting in jail right now. This is going to be a long and drawn out affair. It's almost funny, almost. Does anyone think he is really going to jail for anything?

MJ's Former Wife Tells It As It Is
NEW YORK (AP) - Lisa Marie Presley aired her ``Dirty Laundry'' on ``Oprah.'' In the first of a two-part interview on ``The Oprah Winfrey Show'' to promote her new album, Presley spoke Monday about her brief marriage to Michael Jackson, who is on trial in Santa Maria, Calif., on child molestation charges.
She told Winfrey that her marriage to Jackson, which lasted from 1994 to 1996, was real.
"Do you think that he loved you as much as he could?'' the talk-show host asked.
"Yes, as much as he was capable of loving somebody,'' Presley replied. (They famously opened the 1994 MTV Video Music Awards by exchanging a long kiss.)
In a "PrimeTime Live'' interview with the couple in 1995, Presley told ABC's Diane Sawyer that anyone who questioned their relationship could "Eat it!''
