Well it is nice that the judge granted her visitation rights, so she will still maintain a relationship with her kids. But what I cannot understand is, why didn't the judge take Britney's current drug problem into consideration and grant her SUPERVISED visits? I am sorry, but I just do not trust Britney alone with her own children.

I think he is trying to be fair and give her the benefit of the doubt since she still has to fulfill the requirement of the drug testing thing (twice a week) that she is so much trying to avoid. We know the outcome of the test if the reports are true and she is a drug addict and I think the Judge knows it as well, so if she fails to comply with those tests or she fails them, I am afraid the Judge will take away visitation rights until she puts her act together and finally decide to do something about his addictions.

This is my point exactly. The judge knows her current condition and to me, it is a great risk to allow her visitation rights at this time. If it is SUPERVISED VISITS that would be more prudent. Suppose she attempts to run away with the kids or worse yet, commit suicide? I know he is trying to work with her but if she defied his first instruction to be drug tested twice a week, I think it speaks volumes about where her priorities lie.

The sad thing is that because she is a celebrity, 2 things are happening.
1. Her husband who does not even pay maintenance on his other children with Star Jackson is seeking custody of these children
2. Her drug problem is well known and therefore the judge can make a fair judgement.
What happens to the poor children who are having the same problem and poor parents are awarded custody.
NB. This may not be the place for this post but it's one time that being a celebrity is working against them

Yesterday, I was watching the news and someone made a comment about Britney Spears' life, as being similar to Anna Nicole's. Here are a few similarities between the two:
1) Anna Nicole and Britney are over exposed "dumb blondes," with very little education.
2) These two ladies have selected lovers who are not interested in their brains.
3) They both deny using drugs, although this fact is well known to the world.
4) Anna Nicole and Britney seem to enjoy the attention they receive from the paparazzi.
5) These blondes insist on spending time with "bad company" who call themselves "their friends." However, these so called friends do not have their best interest at heart.
6) The families of Anna Nicole and Britney, do not seem to be strong enough to influence their daughters, to seek professional help.

There are many theories surrounding her death: some believe that she succumbed to a virus, others speculate a drug overdose and some claim that her death may not be accidental. |
Britney seems to be following a similar path to Anna Nicole; she is using drugs to escape reality and seems to rely on the support of bad company. The main difference between Britney Spears and Anna Nicole is, there is an overwhelming response to Britney's downward spiral. Many individuals are genuinely trying to provide assistance and support for her problem. But unfortunately, Britney does not seem interested in anything else except her drug habit.

Dr. Phil believes Britney should be admitted into a mentality hospital even against her will because he believes she is in suicide risk.
