Girl Scouts - Page 3

This doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. There is already Girl Scouts for girls to join. If there are that many requests for girls to join the Boy Scouts then perhaps the best answer is to just roll the two organizations together.

I guess the girl scouts are not good enough for some girls and they want to learn the same things that the boys do in the boy scouts. Not knowing that much about the girl scouts I would think that the girl scouts should offer some of the same things the boy scouts do.

I am not happy about this. Every account I've heard from disgruntled woman has been that the girl scouts were terrible because they would always vote for dumb stuff like how to bake, or do artsy stuff. So, sorry to the tomboys out there, but how exactly does having girls voting for boring activities, in the boyscouts make for a good fix to the problem?

What exactly do they think is going to happen with older scouts, when out camping? Instead of imparting knowledge and being role models to the younger kids, they're going to be too busy trying to get the attention of the opposite sex.

Is it so bad to reform the Girl Scouts? Boundaries aren't inherently evil/oppressive.

So before all of this American girl scouts cannot get to the highest level in scouting because they are girls? I think you all call it "Eagle"?

Yes the highest rank in the boy scouts is a eagle scout. I do not think the girl scouts has this rank or it is not as widely known. I think there are girls who wish to be in the boy scouts due to the more survival stuff they teach in the boy scouts.
