Well I don't drink soft drink anymore but back in the days when I used to (sigh seems so long ago..laugh.gif) I used to love a nice cold solo apple J ...the champagne of soft drinks... I can hear the ad now in my head.

Hmmm... there are so many, it is hard to decide, so I will have to go with the following  in order of my best:

1. Pear-D
2. Grape
3. Sorrel
4. Bently
5. Cream Soda
6. Red

A softdrink they do not have here is Rootbeer... I like that too wink.gif

Softdrinks for me are a thing of the past, but my all time favourite was a red solo (in the fat bottle).   Ahhhh!!  Brings back great memories.

Actually, JB, I started a strict exercise program and soft drinks were not supposed to be part of my diet (although I cheated a bit sometimes - couldn't part with the Solo). After a while, I gave it up completely (one of my "sacrifices" for Lent.)  I've also read somewhere that carbonated beverages are not healthy at all.  Imagine, our bodies get rid of Carbon Dioxide (we exhale it) and we put carbon back into our bodies by drinking carbonated beverages.  Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but it makes sense to me.
Now I drink lots of water, Gatorade now and then, and I eat lots of "juicy" fruits.

Marina, that is a good reason. I prefer fruit juices too, or even mauby, but sometimes when you are out on the road the only thing quick and available is a soft drink. Sometimes I like a Smalta too.
