What are your thoughts about the cases of Harvey Glatman, a serial killer who pretended to be a crime magazine photographer, who would bind women making them believe that it was for the magazine only to realize it was the real thing. The women would end up raped and murdered.

I wonder why if he was diagnosed a psychopath he was allowed to just roam around after committing such crimes. There is neither a cure nor any effective treatment for psychopathy; there are no medications or other techniques which can instill empathy, and psychopaths who undergo traditional talk therapy only become more adept at manipulating others. That was a different time back then though so I suppose he slipped threw the cracks of the system.

Seriously I am confused by people like this. They lack some fundamental part of the thought process, making them unable to have any real empathy towards anyone. Thus when he committed these crimes in his mind no one was being hurt. For some reason or another he could not understand the severity of what he had done. Furthermore he was able to mimic a charismatic "normal" person. Almost like he was designed to be a cold blooded killer.

I have a really bad feeling that people like this are either possed by an evil spirit or are evil spirits that have been let loose from hell to do thier worst. It just seems too weird that not only do psychopaths have charisma and abilities to mimic human emotion convincingly, but they also have no empathy. Seems to constructed to just be a fluke in the human DNA.

It's entirely psychological. I believe it is the cause of serious trauma, the truth is few know what happens in closed chambers and most of these people have "stories" and scary stories that happened to them since they were babies.
