Abraham Shakespeare Case

Most people wish to become very wealthy or win the lottery without taking into consideration that after you have become "rich" you could easily become a target and people taking advantage of you. I hope the remains are not of the man in question but I am afraid they are.

international QUOTE
PLANT CITY, Fla. -  Human remains been found near a Plant City house where investigators were looking for the body of a missing Florida Lottery winner.

The body found Thursday has not been identified, but a medical examiner was at the scene. Authorities had suspected they might find the remains of Abraham Shakespeare, who was last seen in April.

The house is owned by the boyfriend of Dorice Moore, who authorities have called a "person of interest."

Moore has said she doesn't know where Shakespeare is, but authorities say she transferred more than $1 million from his bank account into hers. She said the money was a gift. No charges have been filed.

Shakespeare - who had a criminal record that included arrests and prison time for burglary, battery and not paying child support - won $31 million in 2006 and took a lump-sum payment of $16.9 million instead of annual installments.

He bought a Nissan Altima, a Rolex from a pawn shop, a $1 million home in a gated community. He talked about starting a foundation for the poor and insisted the money wouldn't change him.

"I'm not a material person," he said in 2007. "I don't let material things run me. I'm on a tight budget."

The money quickly caused him problems.

A former co-worker sued him in 2007, accusing Shakespeare of stealing the winning ticket from him. Six months later, a jury ruled the ticket was Shakespeare's.

Then there were the people constantly asking him for a piece of his fortune.

"They didn't wait. They just came right after they found out he won this money," his mother, Elizabeth Walker, said recently.

She said her son was generous, paying for funerals, lending money to friends starting businesses and even giving a million dollars to a guy known only as "Big Man."

Sounds like he was a caring person after he won the money. I wonder if he ever paid off his back child support?. I think that his girlfriend or who ever she was to him has a lot to do with his disappearance. I hope that they arrest her and she is charged with murder if this is indeed his body.

Imagine that the woman that has been arrested for aiding the death of this man said she would never kill anyone because no amount of money is worth it and in this way justifying what she did!

international QUOTE
TAMPA, Fla. -  A woman who befriended a Florida lottery winner who later went missing was charged Tuesday in connection with his slaying, five days after his body was found buried in her backyard.

Dorice "DeeDee" Moore, 37, was charged as an accessory after the fact to first-degree murder in the slaying of Abraham Shakespeare, Hillsborough County Sheriff David Gee said. Moore has denied hurting Shakespeare, 43. No one else has been charged.

"I won't say we have identified all of the players involved," said Hillsborough County Sheriff David Gee. "We're going to find out everyone that was involved. We're going to seek justice."

Moore's arrest is another twist in the monthslong, bizarre case.

Detectives said Shakespeare was killed on April 6 or 7, 2009, at a home in a rural town east of Tampa. He was buried, officials said, at the home next door, which according to property records, was purchased by Moore and listed in the name of her boyfriend.

Investigators said in an affidavit released Tuesday that Moore asked an unnamed witness if he knew anyone who was awaiting sentencing to prison and would be willing to take the rap for killing Shakespeare in exchange for $50,000...
