FDA turns down Arena Pharma's diet pill, for now

The decision leaves open the door for eventual approval of the prescription drug once Arena Pharmaceuticals finishes a study of the drug among diabetics and re-evaluates high-dose tests of the drug on rats that produced cancerous tumors. Ref. Source 1
