Padres pitcher Jose Torres facing domestic violence charges. Padres reliever Jose Torres was arrested in December after a dispute in which he allegedly brandished a semiautomatic handgun. Torres was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, criminal damage and intimidation. His next appearance in Maricopa County Superior Court is a pretrial conference scheduled for Feb. 20.
