Comments: What does the law in Trinidad say about noise? Some refer to it as "Noise pollution", I call it a "Splitting headache". We live near some recreation grounds and sometimes fetes are held there with the music going on for hours in the morning. This is right next to a residential area where people have to go to work or school the next morning. Next is some pan yards. I know they're getting ready for Carnival and all that but do they have to practice til the next morning too? I mean there must be some law that says after a certain time if you are so many meters from a residence then you have to stop and let people sleep.

The law say many things, the problem like most things is observance of the law..Let's face it Trinis are noisy people. They like to talk loud, make noise with the horns of their cars and so forth therefore noise isn't really an issue for most people.
