I so want to see Avatar its like getting me anxious. The trailer looks awesome so I hope I'm not disappointed.
Avatar
'Avatar' is feast for the eyes, but it fails in plot and story content
After all, James Cameron's long-awaited return to feature filmmaking has been touted as such a visual spectacle that it should be able to take care of the rest of the cinematic magic, right? Ref. Source 2
Fails in story and plot?? Not in my books!
Seen this one last night in 3D and it was beautifully done to me. It is a bit long for small ones but a good family movie. For the Adults if you watch it there is good foreshadowing, and what I thought was subtle character building. If you do not think while watching it might seem more shallow then it really is. I thought of the very first Star Wars movie as I watched this one. I had not overly anticipated its release but perhaps I was wrong and now have seen the light.
Go see it I do not think you will be disappointed unless you are strictly a blood and guts adventure person.
It is truly a new viewing sensation. It does take time for your eyes to adjust so be patient and wear the glasses for the advertisements.
I have not seen Avatar the movie yet but I'm amazed by the political and cultural arguments against it. I will be hopefully looking at it soon to give my own view. In the meantime check what others are saying:

The movie is not as good as the hype for it. It is nothing more than than what we saw when the European nations came to the Americas. You have your natives who are trying to keep their land from the invaders who want nothing more then to come and take what they think they can since they have the superior weapons. Yes the special effects are nice but it was to me a cheap gamer type movie. I am sorry I wasted my money.
