In Trinidad and Tobago, consumer protection/service is not always the best and there are too much buerocracy when making complaints to the relevant authorities. For example, my wife and I are members of Price Smart (Chaguanas Branch). We purchased a copy catridge for a Sharp photocopy machine, which we bought from them. However, the catridge seemed to be faulty.
We returned and explained and they refused to change the faulty catridge, based on comments by a "technichian". We were humilated and made to be felt as though we were liars and that we were trying to get a new catridge. We were dismissed without any redress and we felt that we were not members of thish establishment. So be careful when purchasing goods in a Third World country like ours, especially at PriceSmart, Chaguanas. Thank you.
