U.S. President George W. Bush and Congress will stir Chinese anger this week when they honour the Dalai Lama, the exiled spiritual leader of Tibet's Buddhists.

Regardless if you love Bush or hate him (I am lukewarm at this time), this is a good thing. We need to support the Dalai Lama regardless of China's consternation.
The United States should not base its foreign Policy on what other countries will think of it. They should base it on what is right and what is in their best interest (something we do not always do).

China's need to control everyone and everything makes her irate when she can't. The US will not even flinch by her anger, it is after all the US that is helping China to have a great economy, and China knows it, so all this show of frustration against Bush's visit with the Dalai Lama is just ceremonial.
