Which Makes You look Older: Dark or Light Hair?
Is a person with black or brunette hair likely to look younger than a person with blond hair?
Yes, I think so, in general.
It may be the sun affects the blonde peoples skin more making then seem older this way. Many famous blondes look pretty young but if you look closely their skin is always more stretched and sort of worn looking.
I have a light-reddish brown hair right now and I notice as I get older is making me look "washed out" (old). I'm thinking in dying it black (no dark brown) but black. The thing is that every time I dye my hair with a very dark color, within the days the old color comes out slowly. I don't want that to happen, any tips?
I don't think hair color makes you look older or younger its all about our skin and eyes. Dark circles around the eyes is a grabber for age. Sagging skin or wrinkles is also another sign. Thinking about it now a hair style can also make you look younger or older.

Comments: I have read from a lot of professional stylist that says dark hair or black hair makes you look old, that it shows your wrinkles. Are they wrong about that. They always say go lighter, just would like an opinion since my aunt who is in her mid 40s was thinking of dyeing her hair black.
I think it is the grey in the hair that makes one look older. I know as people get older the wrinkles and the sagging skin is what makes them really look old. Look at a persons hands. That is the easiest way to see how they are ageing.
When you're young you can get away with lighter colors but I think the older you get the darker you want to go with your hair. If you go with black it shouldn't be jet black or straight black because that looks as fake as if you put blue or purple dye in your hair.
