Rupee - for the ladies of T&T?

Rupee, a singer born in Germany with a Bajan father, is now dominating the airways in Trinidad & Tobago. I once heard an ad for one of his concerts saying,

So I wondered... Women of T&T do you really think Rupee is all that? Let me know your thoughts and feelings.

I thought he was born in Barbados. Personally, I think he's average in look if that what you're asking. I don't know much about his music but so far the songs I heard of him doesn't say anything wrong or rude. What I like about him is the strong support he gives to charity organizations like the ones about AIDS (both of his parents died of AIDS). I saw a couple of interviews on TV and he seems like a nice guy.
