Do Spirits Have A Gender?

I was just answering in a thread and while I was describing a spirit and I referred to the spirit as "he" but then again how do we know if a spirit is he or she? Do spirits have a gender if gender roles are only in the material world. That's something to think about huh?

I would say yes spirits do have a gender. I don't think they have reproductive abilities in this sense. Yet, thinking back threw all my information about spirits they tend to be male or female orientated.

That's my point. Spirits don't reproduce so what will be the reason to have simulated reproductive organs?

The way they conduct themselves I suppose would be the first indicator. I don't know how much science is behind it but many spirits seem to say they are one gender or the other. Either by name or insisting they are one or the other.

Comments: There isn't any science to determine the existence of spirits / ghosts so figuring out the gender other than looking at one is even more advanced in what we don't know that is if you've even seen a ghost and how would you know? At a distance I bet a ghost doesn't glow like the movies but they look just like you and me but not tangible.

In my view spirits definitely have a gender, they usually have the same one that they did in their mortal life. Angels are usually Male, Demons can be either. Fairies and Gnomes can be male or female, but leprechauns are boys.
