Indigenous groups, anti-poverty activists and civil liberties advocates are some of the voices being heard in protests against the Olympic presence. The US is causing an 'upset' with the medal count that seems to be surprising Canada. The games has been marred by all kinds of negativity though from a death during qualification, deaths of participant's relatives and many protests.

The 2010 Vancouver Olympics are the first Olympic Games to declare their intent to be completely carbon neutral. So, the 2010 Olympics will be a microcosm of what a Green Jobs economy will look like - completely forcing the use of green products no matter what the cost. How has it worked out for Vancouver? HINT: So far, the most notable events in the games have been the death of an athlete and the technical failures that have ruined several events, including the torch ceremony.
