Even though it sounds like he set up the situation knowing that it was a possibility that bad things might happen, it is still no excuse for the said Ladies to have attacked that way.

It would have spoke volumes to him if the ex had not even reacted at all. That would have been her best option.

This is beginning to be a intentional act that lead to one girl being attacked while she did not see it coming. I would charge the guy and his current girlfriend of aggravated assault. He went there to the club after buying her that dress to provoke a fight. That is wrong.

I agree it is very wrong but the key thing is that he may have provoked or influenced the situation which is totaly wrong but if the ex g/friend that started it by throwing/breaking the glass the she is to blame.

Yes that is why I said both should face charges. He is the one who caused the set up to happen thus is a very key part of this fight starting. If it were not for him neither girl would be facing charges. I think he is just as responsible as the first to throw a punch.

Additional news the case went to jury and was found not guilty.

It seems that the dress was the ex's but was still at the house, so the new girl friend wore it. So it seems that the wrong doing was all round.

Actually!, in Australia and for quite some historical time, females are often/usually (coached)taught to fight by the same physical methods as males and can easily be considered as dangerous in any social class level or community rank level, Much the same can be said of New Zealands females (National , no race or creed required in definition).
It is inclusive that as children, they(Aus. NZ) also are taught to fight by the same methods and principles as men as though they were adults.
Some of that problem is probably stemming from convict roots of the countries because much of their populations began with convicts, not the associate management ranks at time of settlement.

This can probably be because of the equality struggle. Boys / men like to fight and girls want to be equal to us on every level including fists but I wish they would just settle down a bit.
