Adam & Eve's Childhood - Page 2

Name: Paralegal

Comments: [In my opinion...] Adam and Eve did have a childhood. Not on this earth, but somewhere else. They could not have just been created as adults and skip their childhood. It's against the order of all things. God is a God of order.
I believe that they had lived such lives somewhere else, that they had the opportunity to be the first ones here on this earth. Probably they were translated, or some sort of process of that type. Spirits can travel anywhere, they just brought their spirits to occupy a body made with material of this earth ( like we all do ), but in a different process. Kind of a "chicken or egg" situation, which one was first?

That is possible that they were raised somewhere else, my reservation with that is that if they had their childhood somewhere else then they would not have been formed from the dust of this world. It also seems to be a bit too similiar to the Adam-God theory.

international QUOTE
I don't see the purpose of "children" in the Garden of Eden neither why the Lord would want to marry them

Wouldn't the purpose be that they were archetypes of mankind? I don't see how them being children would complicate them getting married, we don't know when they got married, they could have been in the garden for a long, long time prior to God marrying them. Which would allow for childhood. I would tend to agree with you though, in my opinion it seems a bit strange to conceive as Adam and Eve as children in the garden of Eve. Not that, that is strong evidence as to why they weren't.

Comments: [In my opinion...] Yes they would, actually they were (formed from the dust of this earth). This is in reference to our mortal bodies only. None of our spirits are made of materials of this earth, they are contained by materials of this earth, but as soon as this mortal body fails, the spirit goes back to a spirit world.
So, yes. They were spirits that were placed in mortal bodies (made of materials of this earth). Just like all of us.

And because of that are we assuming they had a childhood? Not sure if I understand the thought process.
