DAVAO CITY – President Arroyo began the third leg of her Super Regions tour Tuesday with an on-site inspection of the ongoing upgrading of the Surigao-Davao Coastal Road.

Mrs. Arroyo checked the road which links the eastern towns of Bacuag in Surigao del Norte, and Mati in Davao Oriental.

Almost 98.19 percent complete, it is deemed to cut travel time to half, which will now take four hours instead of eight.

It will speed up transport of products and services in the said areas, notably from the Caraga Region and Davao Oriental to the Davao Port and nearby ports.
