Lex Luthor's Hair

One of the things that affected Lex the most growing up was that he lost his hair due to the meteorite. Lex then became very knowledgable in future technology yet he did not grow back his hair - why do you think?

Actually it was a mistake by the artist. In the first appearances, Lex Luthor was shown with a head full of hair (red) and then hairless by mistake. It was then when they have to come up with the story of an accident when he was a child.
