To the many Trinidadians abroad who are tired of the generalizing and stereotypical slurs from our island people and also many abroad, about our way of life and our perception of Trinidad, please join with me to pursue another avenue and discard these comments.
After a long time of partaking in blogs, and threads I have come to one conclusion that the majority of these persons that make these comments come to their conclusions from personal experience or hearsay and turn it into a person weapon against "all" Trinidadians living abroad. Many seems to have much anger, bitterness, dislike, and some sort of hatred to Trinidadians abroad and with this in mind, it does not matter what we say or practice - it will not change their perceptive, or help us find common ground.
We do not have to prove anything to anyone. As an individual we need to take another path - practice a moderate style of living, be a humanitarian, have a sense of self, do not allow hatred and bitterness within, and be mindful of those who do not practice the above. With these few tools we can create a pathway towards longevity ... And a good way of life.
