Do you think persons with Special Needs should be shown leniency when they break the law?

Law and Special
It depends on the severity of the condition. Regardless, they should be evaluated to know how much they can understand. If they are high functioning, it is always a good idea for them to carry some sort of identification where it can describe their condition so others (specially police officers) can understand why the person is acting the way they do.
