What is your strategy for confronting the animal Badger in Dungeons & Dragons?

The rage ability is kind of a joke I think. It can only rage if it gets hurt, yet it has only 6 hp. I am pretty sure that means the first time it gets hit it will die, unless it gets lucky. Even then its attacks are pretty sad to begin with. So even with the rage it does low damage. Just stomp on it would be my advice.
