How To Remove Permanent Hair Dye

Some days ago I decided to change my look. I have highlighted my hair for quite some time and I decided I wanted to have black hair so I purchase some black hair dye. To my dismay, the color turned out to be BLACK but not your typical black color but more like a black shoe polish color. I washed it several times but no matter what the color remained.

Since I love to research things online, I tried to find a way on how to remove this color and let it become a more natural black but no matter what I searched, everything was in vain since the color was permanent and black is the hardest color to get rid of.

I read that bleaching was the only solution but I did not want to ruin my hair in this way so I decided to continue searching and I found a way that I thought it was crazy but after reading some positive reviews I thought in giving it a shot. I was amazed at the results!

Basically, I took 4-5 Vitamin C capsules, grind them in the blender or food processor until they become dusty or grainy. Then I added 1 tablespoon of baby shampoo (you can also use a regular shampoo). I mixed it up and I spread the mixture into my WET hair. I made sure to put it all over my hair (from the roots to the endings). Depending on the length of your hair, you can always make more.

I covered my hair with a shower cap and left the mix on my hair for a whole hour. I really did not know anything would happen but to my surprised when I removed the cap and washed my hair (with shampoo and conditioner as usual) I was happily surprised to see the black hair dye was GONE! And I had now a dark brown hair (like I wanted!) with reddish undertones! It looks LOVELY!

I know this procedure also works to get rid of red/orange hair or another unwanted color. You can also try the procedure as many times as you need to get the desired color. Keep in mind, you will have your natural hair color undertones.

If you read this and you try it, let us know the results! Good luck!
