The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said Tuesday it is still verifying information that Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson was arrested in Malaysia.

Lawyer Claro de Castro, chief of NBI Interpol Division, said the bureau is still in the process of verification the information on Lacson.

Reports from the Philippine Embassy in Malaysia said that it has yet to receive any information regarding the senator’s arrest. The Philippines is exerting effort to verify to other apprehending units of the Malaysia regarding the information.
