Never saw it, a little before my time I guess. I haven't seen the 1991 version either. This is the synopsis:
Dark Shadows (Hover)
Great photo of the original cast, thanks JB. All episodes of the Dark Shadows revival are on the Internet for free including the pilot episode. I have the original series on DVD and I am re-watching the entire series. I'm up to episode 610, a little over half way.
Name: Fargo
Comments: A lot of the actors brought into Dark Shadows had an underlying purpose. Take for instance the Quentin Collins' character who was added just so Jonathan Frid didn't have to do so much scenes with his character.
Yes I have heard that. It even went beyond that. One writer was giving Frid too many lines. He was warned and then fired when he did it again. The show was a living and evolving thing. Seeing them try to recoup from mistakes because of the semi-live nature of the show makes it enjoyable on many levels.
Dark Shadows Fact: Maggie Evans married Quentin Collins on the program and thus became Maggie Collins. Kathryn Leigh Scott was a former playboy bunny before joining the cast of Dark Shadows.
