Tarja Halonen celebrated 10 years as Finland's head of state on Monday.
The president marked the occasion in Vancouver whence she will return with the Finnish Olympic team on Tuesday. Finland's first woman president enjoyed stellar approval ratings during her first six-year term but her second and final term has been marred by a row with the government over representation at EU summits.
