The day of the summon/heist:

Lwentano:

After Lwentano gets all his supplies he will go back to the church they first started from and talk to the priest. He is wanting to know what more information he may have gotten that can help the town folks get better nights of rest. Is there something that should be done?

The next day:

Myrrani:

OOC: Oh yeah, right, it was the VIPER that had the bluff bonus. Right, Medium Viper, not monstrous spider. Sorry about the confusion. Also, I am wearing clothing. Check my inventory, I have a scholar's outfit and a sickle.

In the morning, Myrrani meets with the others, then heads towards the mage camp with them.

Aive:

I think we wait and sell this stuff at the mage camp. We don't have a fence here, or anyone we can trust.

Aive is impressed with philo's work and jokes about taking him on a real job one day.

If they have the spare time, Aive would like to go over some hand guestures for silent comunication with Philo.

Philo:

Going over hand gestures with Aive on the way towards the mage camp.

Lwentano:

Heading towards the mage camp with the others, sharing the news he gained from the priest where relevant.

Lwentano shares what he learned from Grumar, the local high cleric.

Grumar explains that Gabriel was able to dig up very little, pertaining to the nightmares and strange deaths. They do know that whatever is going on is changing its method of attack.
There was only one more mysterious death, now people are simply disappearing. The number of missing people has gone up to seven, possibly even higher. Five of them missing are children, the youngest 12 the oldest 16.
Nightmares are effecting more of the townsfolk and becoming more frequent, as well as potent.
Grumar has been doing a little research of his own for some time. He knows the Dark are behind everything that is going on. He suspects they have been and are in Klagek, working from some hideout. He strongly believes that the mage camp to the east are in fact the Dark.

Grumar is against the upcoming parade because he had a dream that the parade would mean the end of his church in Klagek.

He asks Lwentano about the parties adventure and their findings. Once briefed Grumar asks that Lwentano convince his friends to sell him the scrolls and desk (2,000 gp). Also Grumar strongly desires the journal, he will pay 6,000 gp for it.

All this information has been given before the party reaches the mage camp. I would like to give players a short time in light of it before going into the mage camp.

Myranni was able to friend a medium viper as a familiar.

Aive and Philo are able to work out some very basic hand gestures. Keep in mind you have not so good vision in the dark. Depending on the lighting you will be unable to see each others hand gestures.

Lwentano will lead the party to the church so we can sell the scrolls and other stuff to the priest. Then see what else if anything he may be able to tell us about the Dark or the camp of mages just outside the village.

Grumar exchanges 8,000 gold for the scrolls journal, and desk. He begins translating the rest of the book immediately with two helpers. In an hour Grumar has finished and addresses the parties questions.

"Thank you for the journal it has revealed much, and helped me put together some more of this puzzle. It appears that the cave you killed the lemures in was only one of several like operations. The main task is getting live bodies for transformation, preferably evil ones. Threw an evil ritual the Dark trap a subject in a never ending nightmare. Once the mind is locked in other infernal magics are used to infuse a devilish entity with the tortured soul. The entire process takes about two weeks in most cases. If the being under a nightmare can free itself or is somehow woken they have a slight chance of survival. Most of them go mad immediately trying to destroy themselves. This is what caused the mysterious deaths. Further I think the mage camp is the camp of the Dark and are kidnapping the missing people. Possibly to recruit them, sacrifice, make them lemures, or who knows what else."

Grumar pauses thinking, "Before I forget I want you to know the significance of the scrolls. The lemures were supposed to be disguised as townsfolk. Only the clothes covering them would be soaked in oil. Once the lemures are lit the Dark cast pyrotechnics, covering the immediate area in a choking fog. They also use the summoning of swarms of critters to cause further chaos. This os one layer of their attack and I believe the parade taking place in three days was going to be when the Dark attacked with their lemures. I am still trying to stop the parade but I don't think I will be able to."

"The Dark have probably been watching you all for some time. Why they have not focused more on snuffing you or myself out is still a mystery to me. My best guess is that they are fighting on another front somewhere and don't have the ability to do so yet. As you poke and prod at them more you will draw more attention. Be warned the Dark are an ancient foe. They are cunning and unmerciful. Much like a fly caught in a spiders web, I imagine is us and our little town. Once the spider is done wrapping up the bigger prey it will come for us."

"I suggest you all purchase a silver weapon. It seems their strike is more potent to devils.", Grumar hesitates for a minute before speaking again.
"You should be told there is another Dark other than the Dark. They call themselves the Dark as well and claim the others are the Blind Dark. The differences between them are few but fundamentally very different. The, for lack of a better word, True Dark embrace evil to their very core. Giving themselves over to it entirely. They believe this is the only way to tap into the raw unbridled evil, or the source as they call it. The Blind Dark still maintain that there is a way to control the source without giving oneself over to it. They continue to try and tame it with rituals and various other tools. It's hard to say if we are facing the blind dark or the true dark. I pray it is the former. As of now I am uncertain if the two factions work together or if they fight one another."

Grumar looks seriously at the party, "Be fore warned if you enter that mage camp there is a very good chance you will never leave it. I know they seem to be unaware but it is the equivalent of enterings a sleeping dragons lair. Only this dragon sleeps with one eye open. That is all I can tell you of their camp. There is some strong protection from scrying surrounding it unfortunately. It is a safe bet though that those missing children are being help captive somewhere within. I wish I could do more but I am a book worm not a fearless warrior I'm afraid. I may be able to find some silver weapons to sell you for a fraction of the going rate. Val was in here just over an hour ago. She brought a load of silver weapons from the runes of Jorine. I asked her to stay a while longer but she claimed there was no time and left as suddenly as she came."

The townsfolk general consensus is that the camp is a lot of fun. It is on the creepy side but there are bunch of games and a few entertaining shows. The camp also seems to have a wide assortment of magical goods at a decent cost.

All silver items are 50 % cheaper from Grumar. Lwentano he had the items you asked for.

While gathering information Aive (or Philo, or both) happens to stumble on a fellow rouge. The thief recognizes you for what you are. He has not seen you around before and mentions a place in the northwest side of town were people of their ilk meet periodically. The thief describes the location vaguely but you get the picture that it is an abandoned crumbled up stone building. If you can find the entrance to the basement you might have found a lead to the thieves guild.

After the talk with Grumar and townsfolk, it is late afternoon.
The sky is still full of dark clouds but the rain has stopped.

Klagek is bustling with activity. Many are vocably exited about the upcoming parade. Bonfires are lit threw Klagek. It can be assumed as night takes hold there will be parties going on in these areas.

Information on the realm:

KIakeg is an old military town on the outskirts of civilization.

To the north are the ruins of Jorine, farmland, Shaderoot forest, and the hills area.

To the east, some days away on horse, a dwarven kingdom lies in a mountain range (NE to SW). There are fruit farms in this area.'There are many fruit beating trees.

To the south lie warm swamps (lizardfolk) and the ocean. This area is plagued with sea devils.

To the immediate west of Klagek is the river Blatuk. Beyond that is uncharted wilderness. Mostly made up of difficultly negotiable forests.
