Lwentano's water attack on the gaseous form results in the building becoming wet. It seems to have no effect on the gas. The form continues upward, now 20 feet in the air.

Grumar's twirls methodically about, in place while chanting. Somehow his motions are effecting the energy around you, it is growing in intensity.
Just as the golem is about to land a devastating blow against the dwarf something incredible happens.

A beam of blindingly bright light shoots down from the sky blasting away the clouds overhead. The beam of light strikes directly threw the golem, blasting it into pieces.

GM: At this point I am going to need saving throws from the players for each saving throw. One for Fortitude, one for Reflex, and one for Will.
Myranni your spell is going to be interrupted by this. Also you no longer are taking a negative to your will checks. I meant to tell you about that before but forgot, sorry.

Myrrani:
Refl: 13
Will: 17
Fort: 7

Lwentano:
Reflex: 14
Will: 8
Fortitude: 17

((It looks like we each probably failed at least one save. I'm slightly concerned with the difficulty level of our encounters, but we're still alive so far, so I guess it's OK... Though this time we needed to get Grumar to do it for us.))

The beam of light rips the golem asunder, tossing pieces of it threw the air.

Lwentano your ears are ringing from the blast. A piece of metal imbeds itself in the wall next to your head.

Myranni is thrown back about 10 feet landing on her back. Luckily none of the metal shrapnel hits her. (takes 1 point of fall damage)

Grumar is not so lucky. A long piece of metal is sticking out of his chest. He is lying on the ground motionless. A cleric runs over to him putting his hands on the wound, then begins to chant.

The soldiers all managed to avoid being hit though you see small pieces of metal stuck in their shields.

Lwentano you no longer see the gaseous form. There is a possibility the force of the sunbeam caused it to break up.

The black cloud to the south was unaffected by the blast. You can still hear battle being waged inside of it. The soldiers from the north are charging into it and will be inside of it next round.

Lwentano will look about for the form for a bit as his ears are now not very useful. He will walk around a bit dazed but will have his bow at the ready and arrow notched if any come out of the cloud that are not guards. He will make sure his back is to a wall so no one sneaks up on him. HE will place himself across the street and down a few yards from the fighting.

Myrrani checks to make sure Grumar is being taken care of, then heads out to go help deal with the spiders. She takes a wide berth to avoid the battle.

Upon arrival, she orders the guards to get away from the spiders, then casts Burning Hands on the swarm once they're clear.

Grumar is groaning very softly, he may survive after all.

The spiders are just beginning to disperse as Myranni makes the flight of stairs up to the wall. It looks as though they will be completely gone in another round.

Lwenatno focuses on the battle to the south. It too looks like the cloud is dispersing and will be completely gone in a round.

Images of the battle become clearer and clearer as the fog vanishes.

As the smoke clears the intensity of the battle becomes more apparent. More than a handful of guards are down. Some of them moving clutching wounds while a few lie still in awkward positions.

Lumbering towards them are charred lemures, their human like faces twisted in fear.

Some 15 guards are still up and fighting, almost all of them bloody or severely burned.

As Lwentano looses an arrow dropping a lemure cold, he hears shouting from the church behind him.
He pulls another arrow and fires, his arrow hits the target. The lemure bleeds out black goop onto the stone city street. He sees 3 clerics running past him towards the battle.
Lwentano's next arrow flies past the lemure as it shambles hurriedly towards a downed guard. The guard calls out to his friends for help.

You see the tide of battle is changing rapidly towards a victory. The choking smoke now clear and with clerics to heal. The guards are now able to fight many times better.

Lwentano focuses and fires off two more arrows in rapid motion. One finishes off the lemure heading to the downed guard. The next plants itself firmly into another lemure, killing it.

Lwentano goes to pull another arrow and looks for a target. He cannot find an target that is not in melee.

Myranni watches as Grumar is hauled into the church on a stretcher. She picks up his hat from the ground and follows them inside the church.

The north ballista guards will be entering melee next round. There are only 7 lemures left. I am going to say the battle is over because in a few rounds tops the lemures will be dead. By then Lwenano will have just entered melee if he attacked. I will be posting the rewards shortly.

You gain 2,500 experience and you can choose one magical item up to 18,000gp, lastly you receive 2,000 gp. The magical item and comes from Grumar. The gold is awarded by the city.

The town goes about healing those injured and putting out the remaining fires. Those that had their homes damaged are taken care of while repairs are planned. Grumar was injured fatally but the quick reactions of his clerics saved his life.

An investigation is underway to determine the reason for the attack. Rumors being spread say that Grumar and his church are being blamed. It is also rumored that the authorities are looking for a tree woman and a half elf with a magical bow and silver arrows, wanting to question them.

Whispers are also circulating that townsfolk have been developing strange mutations. Some becoming strange monstrosities having altered bodies and odd growths on their skin.

Lwentano your character will also be taking on some sort of mutation. It has benefits in the way of added attack bonus, damage bonus, attribute bonus, skill bonus, ect. The mutation also has a side effect as well. If you want to continue playing we will have to figure out what mutation is most fitting for Lwentano.
