Five centipedes come from the darkness scurrying towards your group from all sides. The centipedes are larger than you could imagine, about the size of a horse but twice as long. They move in hungrily hissing.

The centipedes have finished their turn by moving. They were unable to make an attack this round but have you surrounded. (round 2)

Hode yells charging forward, taking a mad swing at the large centipede. The centipede rears back easily dodging the attack.

Jash puts his hands on you repeating the same strange words he spoke before with Hode. A blue light surrounds you as well, disappearing quickly. (Your ac raises by 4 points.)

You see Minn from the corner of your eye emerge from the shadows. He stabs the centipede Hode attacked and it squeals in pain.

(It is now your turn for an action, before round 3 starts and the centipedes attack.)

Sir Garasthar looks at the large creatures in horror and slashes at the one Hode and Minn struck at.

Your mighty swing has cleaved the centipede in two. You and the others have no time to celebrate as the other four centipedes commence attacking.

Two of the centipedes try to bite Hode but are wary of his torch. Their attacks are not quite full hearted and come up short.

The other two remaining centipedes attack you. You dodge the first attack but step right into another. The second centipedes vice like mandibles clamp down on you hard for just a moment. You feel a sharp stabbing feeling in your back. Your body suddenly becomes very hot in that area and it feels like the hotness is spreading.

Sir Garasthar receives 5 points of damage and must roll versus poison (Fort dc 11) or loose 4 points of dexterity. The loss of dexterity is from the centipedes poison and is temporary.

Round 3:

Hode thrusts his longsword at the nearest centipede and connects. The centipedes carapace breaks were the blade hits as the sword sinks deep into it. The centipede lets out a shrill hissing yelp as it falls lifeless to the ground.

Three blue orbs spring from Jash like missiles towards another centipede. They buzz around curiously but all hit their mark. The centipede lays twitching and looks to be dead.

Minn chucks a dagger at one of the last two centipedes. It hits and is now sticking out of its back.

It is now Sir Garasthar's turn. Please add your roll versus the poison in with your action. After your action round 4 will start and the two remaining centipedes will attack, unless you kill one.

Fortitude roll: 13 + 4 = 17

Sir Garasthar winces at the pain. But manages to clear it from his mind. He strikes out at the unwounded centipede.
Strike: 13 (I am guessing this misses, but I will post damage just in case)
Damage: (if it hits) 9

The paladins swing is dodged by the large monster.

The centipedes find it difficult to maneuver around the bodies of the dead. Hindering the remaining centipedes, causing their retaliating bites to miss badly.

Hode's attack also is impeded by the collection of carcases, he misses as well.

Jash's ever reliable magic missiles streak threw the air, felling yet another centipede.

Minn's dagger bounces off of the centipedes exterior as if it were a rubber ball.

(It is now Sir Garasthar's action.)

The centipede narrowly misses landing a bite on Hode.

Hode retaliates but misses badly.

Minn jumps from one of the dead centipedes backs onto the live ones back. He straddles the centipede and jams his short sword into it. The centipede rears back for a moment then falls the the side, dead.

After the battle the party surveys the immediate area. You find yourselves in a large chamber that has 7 other tunnels attached to it, besides the one you came in threw.
