Sir Garasthar will wait to talk to Hode until after he has had some rest. He will find the nearest Inn and get a room there. Just before he falls asleep, a searing pain covers his body. He feels like he is going to die. He cuts a bit of cloth and bites down on it hard. This continues on for a few hours, and Sir Garasthar feels as if his flesh were ripped off his bones. He falls unconsious and wakes in the morning feeling really bad. He is able to overcome his horrible night and he heads to Hode to speek about the worms.
His Strength has become a +3
The next day Hode gives each of you a jug of mud containing 3 gertums.
Hode is at the headquarters and tells you both he is impressed with you but he has no dire need of you for now. The council has been on him about funds and nagging for him to cut back on men.
Sir Garasthar you gain +1300 experience. Lwentano you gain 1 experience for your mighty slaying of the toad and horse watching technique. Just kidding you gain 300 experience.
Hode gives Sir Garasthar an additional 200gp and a magical suit of chainmail.
Out of Character:: Cool, that was pretty awesome. I am pretty sure I leveled up, right? I have already made the changes to my character sheet, so if I didn't, just tell me and I will change it back.
Sir Garasthar thanks Hode and asks how long it takes for the worms to hatch. After getting this information he will head to his room and put his Scale Mail in the closet and the worms on his table if he has one. After this, he will put on his new Chain Mail and head to the market district with the parts of centipede to find someone who can make him a shield out of it. Could you tell me how much if he finds someone who can make it?
Hode tells you the worms you have are grown and are already hatched.
The inn keeper sees you walking back up to your room and asks for an additional gold piece seeing that you are staying another day.
Sir Garasthar looks around for a little while and finds a "young" dwarf blacksmith to do the job. The dwarf charges double the price of a normal shield and asks that you return in a few days.
Lwentano goes back to training with the guards to improve his skills. He will keep his ears open for any news of possible adventures while training with the guards. He will also go to the temple to see if anything can be done to help him with his ear problem.
The next day, Sir Garasthar will go to the market and buy 2 Javelins as well as a short sword. He will have the short sword strapped to the back of his waist and have the javelins on his back when adventuring. The rest of the day he will wander around town and see if any work is available. He reads a strange book while walking about.
Ra Xim was being his usual self, strolling through town and complimenting the villagers with a natural charm. Ironically he stood only three feet and two inches tall but held as much self confidence as a king himself. He walked with his chest pushed out and often stroked his nicely groomed black goatee at any opportunity followed by a wide smile.
Ra was known as a mooch, he was too cheap for his own shelter and food so he oftentimes attempted his luck at charming his way into a warm meal and a soft bed before spending his own coin at the inn. Which is exactly what he was doing to a female human in the market, he was in the middle of bragging about his bravery when walking backwards to assure her eyes were fixed upon him when he accidentally bumped into Sir Garasthar's Javelin. "Ouch!" he whined childishly. The female continued past Ra and giggled at his misfortune. Growing a scowl upon his miniature face he stomped on Sir Garasthar's foot "Hey you big oaf!" he exclaimed looking up at him and shaking his tiny fist "Because of you and your big pointy stick I just lost my shot with that lady. Now I need to spend my own coin on that smelly inn over there rather than a delightful evening with a beautiful lass." he huffed.
Out of Character: I'm not trying to pick a fight, I'm just playing a character who has way too much confidence for his size for the irony.
