The valley to the north seems to sprout goblins. He sees about 20 or so goblins coming up the trail in his (goblin cave) direction.
From the vantage point on the ridge Lwentano does not spot or hear any other goblins coming from the south (were he just came from and killed a few goblins).

Lwentano will use his bow to kill as many goblins as he can until they get closer. Once they get closer he will switch to his long sword and melee any who are left.
Attack rolls using a d20 with +8 modifier: 22, 18, 12, 17, 13, 24, 19, 25
Damage rolls with a d8 and +2 modifier: 3, 4, 8, 10, 5, 7, 5, 9.
Hopefully I will take a few of them out.
The lone half elf holds his ground as the goblin band "marches" up the hill towards him. Once they are in range he lets loose his arrows.
It takes two arrows to drop the first goblin. The band of goblins (now knowing his position) let their javelins fly. The missiles rain in on his location but none hit.
Lwentano retaliates with another arrow as the goblins move closer, it misses. Again 19 javelins soar in from the sky but all miss.
HE shoots another arrow and this time kills a goblin in one shot. The goblins continue creeping towards him shouting and hooting. Javelins rain in again bouncing off his awesome armor.
The goblins are very close now, Lwentano is able to fire off one more arrow before they enter melee, somehow it misses all targets.
The goblins now entering into melee find that their morning stars don't have any more luck hitting him. The weapons bounce off of him harmlessly as if he was invincible. HE strikes back with his long sword killing another smelly goblin.
The battle continues this way, Lwentano kills another 3 goblins. The remaining 14 goblins are becoming disheveled. After seeing every single one of their attacks miss they have loss a considerable amount of fighting spirit.
A handful of the goblins are moving away back to the cave in disbelief. Two of the goblins stand about 10 feet back shouting at Lwentano furiously as if that might be more effective than battle. The remaining 8 that have completely surrounded him have disheartened looks on their faces. Or what passes for a disheartened look from a goblin.
At the bottom of the valley Lwentano spots a almost familiar face. It might be his imagination but it looks like a goblin he met before (Gefuth). The lone goblin just stares at Lwenatano.

Lwentano sneers as he spots the familiar goblin. He turns his attention back to those that are surrounding him swinging with his sword.
Attack rolls d20 with +6 modifier: 19, 22, 14, 17, 10, 8, 18
Damage rolls d8 with +4 modifier: 8, 5, 9, 10, 5, 7, 12
Lwentano wishes to kill these goblins so he can clear that cave of any goblins he can find.
Lwentano kills 2 more goblins before the rest of them retreat. While this is happening Gefuth is changing form.
You see him fall on all fours like a dog and begin to groan deeply and devilishly. Slowly his appearance changes to be more wolf-like. He also grows in size changing from a small creature to medium, then large (about 10' tall).
The lone "goblin" (half wolf, half goblin) remains between you and the cave.
Gefuth's glowing orange eyes seem to penetrate you as he laughs, "I will enjoy devouring your soul."

Lwentano places his sword into the ground and redraws his bow. Notching an arrow he aims at the wolf thing. HE will start to fire as soon as it is in range. He will fire till the wolf is getting close. HE will then switch back to sword and shield.
D20 attack rolls. Figure +8 with bow, and +6 with sword these are unmodified roils: 14, 19, 8, 13, 6, 2, 18, 17, 14, 16, 19, 17.
D8 damage rolls. Figure +2 with bow and +4 with sword these are unmodified rolls: 7, 4, 2, 4, 5, 4, 7, 8, 8, 6, 7, 2.
Lwentano will do what he can to kill this thing.
Lwentano's first arrow hits and is a solid shot. Gefuth shows notable signs of anger and discomfort as he rears back howling in rage. His muscles begin to bulge even further, you also hear his bones cracking as he grows even further in girth this way.
Lwentano's second arrow hits again Gefuth seems not to noctice though you see blood coming from the wound. Gefuth stalks towards Lwentano, sizing him up it would seem.
Lwentano's third arrow misses as Gefuth closes the distance to melee, running and pouncing at Lwentano. Lwentano pops off a quick arrow while jumping out of its way. The arrow hits its belly, the wolf thing is unable to knock him down and pin him. Lwentano rolls back to his feet and takes another shot, it misses. His sword has been kicked away in the scuffle and he is not sure where it is.
Lwentano shoots another arrow but again misses.
Gefuth growls, "I will be watching you, you've made a serious enemy mortal." With that the wolf-goblin vanishes into thin air.
